Tilly and the Buttons Cleo Dungaree dress class
Learn to sew the super popular Cleo from Tilly and the buttons. A simple pattern, ideal for beginners with a relaxed style that doesn't need tricky fitting adjustments. Your tutor Amanda will give you plenty of support and guidance, as well as sharing all her tips and tricks for successful sewing! The pattern, use of equipment and tuition are included. You will need to bring fabric and notions as indicated on the pattern. Please note that this pattern is sized for UK 6-20 and if you are significantly outside of this range, this class may not be suitable.
The Sew Over It Ultimate Pencil Skirt class
Make yourself a fabulous pencil skirt in a day with your tutor Amanda. You will learn a range of dressmaking techniques including sewing darts, attaching a waistband facing and inserting an invisible zip. The pattern, tuition and use of equipment are all included in the class. You will need to bring fabric, thread and a 30cm concealed zip. Please note that the pattern is sized for UK 8-20 and if you are significantly outside of this size range, this class may not be suitable for you.
Quilted Advent Calendar
Make your own heirloom advent calendar in this one day class. Tracy will show you how to construct, quilt and bind your calendar which you will make from a panel. You will need an advent panel, wadding, backing fabric, thread and fabric for binding.
Sewing Children's clothes: the Charlie Hoodie
Sew the fantastic Charlie Hoodie from Two Stitches patterns in this one day class. Tutor Amanda will guide you through the entire process, sharing her tips for sewing with knit fabrics. Sewing machines are provided and the pattern is included in the price. Sizes range from 6 months to 9 years, and there is the option to make either a hoodie or tunic version. you will need to bring fabric (ideally pre washed), matching thread and any other supplies indicated on the pattern.
Learn to sew: 6 week course (evenings)
This 6 week course on Thursday evenings is suitable for complete beginners who would like to try their hand at dressmaking. The course will guide you through threading and using a sewing machine to complete a simple project before moving on to a garment of your choice from the Tilly and the Buttons pattern range.sewing machines and equipment are provided, as well as a pattern. You will need to provide your own fabric and supplies indicated on the pattern. Further advice will be given in the first class.
Learn to sew: the Sew Over It shift dress
Make the Ultimate Shift dress from Sew Over It in this one day class. Suitable for beginner dressmakers, this class will guide you through the steps to make your own dress. The class includes tuition, use of sewing machines and equipment, Sew Over It pattern and refreshments. You will need to bring fabric, ideally pre washed, thread and any other requirements indicated on the pattern.
Patchwork and quilting: hand piecing
In this class you will learn a range of hand-piecing techniques including, using templates, making your own template and English paper piecing. In addition to learning the techniques, there will be the opportunity to create your own handmade pin cushion. You can bring your own selection of fabric scraps (cotton is ideal). All equipment is provided.
Made to Measure: A top with sleeves
Make a top with sleeves that fits you perfectly! In this class you will learn how to create a paper pattern from your own body measurements, before making a toile in calico. 2 day class taking place on the 13th and 14th of October All materials are included.
Know Your Overlocker
Make the most of your overlocker with this one day class. You will learn how to correctly thread your machine, 3 and 4 thread overlocking, rolled hems, tension adjustment and more in this one day class. please bring your overlocker, together with any feet and accessories and 4 different coloured threads.

If you've never used a sewing machine, or you just want to feel more confident this class is for you. bring your own machine or use one of ours!
Beginner's quilting: Make A Sewing Roll
Make a pretty and practical sewing roll in this beginner's quilting class. You will learn how to choose fabrics, use a rotary cutter and quilt using the 'stitch and flip' technique. Please bring your own small pieces of fabric - any scraps of cotton fabric are ideal. All other materials included.
Learn to knit
Suitable for complete beginners, this class will cover the basics of knitting including casting on, knit and purl stitches, types of yarn and understanding pattern instructions. you will need to bring double knit yarn and size 4 knitting needles.
